J. S. Bach Cello Suites
> Almande No.1 [ 1 / 2 ] |
I suppose, many cellists play Almande in Suite No.1 as the first piece of all music. Both of the fingering and the bowing seem not to be quite difficult (obviously, it is difficult to play beautifully). As far as I'm concerned, I took this piece of music seriously as I decided to play it for my friend's wedding party. Now then, why did I choose this music (which is not necessarily gorgeous nor showy) for wedding? The reason is not only my technical restriction but also the atmosphere, quiet but joyful, calm and warm, kindness, etc. I would name such feeling as 'ordinary happiness'. I feel plenty of joy, not dramatically but absolutely exist in this music. I thought, that was the best message for bride and groom. For another, I expected the music would make the wedding party friendly and comfortable. ( 13th Oct 2004 ) |
